Presented by Jeannine Doyle of Pod Frog Pond Hollows.
Jeannine is a Gardener, Environmentalist, Lecturer, and Beekeeper

“Drones are like the brother-in-law you wish you never had,” Doyle said of the male honeybees.

Doyle has five hives in her two-acre yard in Pembroke.

This past year, they collected 165 pounds of honey.Doyle said that about a pound of honey was the collective effort of tens of thousands of bees, traveling over 112,000 miles to visit four to five million
